Day 38 – Portland, OR (Day 5)

This was another real-life day in Portland.

The Route
None.

About the Day
It was mostly sunny and pleasant in the mid-70s.

Tim had church meetings all day.  Elizabeth worked until mid-afternoon.  Jacob and Anna were off at school.  We had a leisurely breakfast at IHOP.

Elizabeth and Carol got an estimate for a repair of the Winslea's Nissan Leaf and then picked up Anna at school.

Dick worked on basement lighting upgrades.

Elizabeth, Carol and Dick went to Jacob’s cross-country track meet.  Jake posted a personal best of 19 minutes, 47 seconds in a 5,000 meter race.  He finished 39th out of 187 runners.
Jake (#301) on the first lap.

Heading for the finish line.

Elizabeth, Carol and Anna played a game after dinner.  Dick watched (as a way of not losing).  Tim got home late and missed out on the fun.

Tomorrow
Elizabeth is joining us for breakfast with Adele Amos.

We met Adele in Taos, NM on September 21, 2013 … our Airstream trailers provided the introduction.  We’ve stayed in contact since.
