Thanks
to the smoke haze, we have little to show for the day.
The Route
We
drove 183 miles on I-84W. The road
condition was good. Traffic flowed
smoothly through construction areas.
About the Day
Last night was cool. It was
hazy and 54° when we left the campground.
The temperature got up to 89° by 4pm.
Getting Started
We got on the road at 9:45am.

A view of the tent camping area. |
This little beggar scurried up and said "feed me or leave" |
On the Way
There is life beyond the haze. |
Twin Falls ...
We crossed Perrine Memorial Bridge and got a peek at Snake River Canyon.
Approaching Boise ...
There's not much change as we continue west. |
Travel Trivia
This shiny Buick Skylark really stood out on a smoke shrouded day.

The Campground
We’re camped at the Boise/Meridian
KOA. It was at the right place at
the right time.
Plan Update
We have confirmed campground reservations that will allow us to arrive
in Portland by early afternoon on Saturday … right on schedule.
Tomorrow
We’re leaving I-84 for US-20 as we head for Burns, OR.
